Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kemal Bayazit is an Associate Professor and Lead Principal Investigator at Sabancı University Nanotechnology Research and Application Center (SUNUM). He received his PhD in Chemistry from Durham University as a TÜBİTAK Fellow, followed by postdoctoral research at Imperial College London and University College London, where he pioneered microwave-fluidic reactors for high-throughput nanomaterial fabrication. His research focuses on sustainable, scalable manufacturing of advanced materials for photocatalysis, energy, sensing, and functional surfaces. Dr. Bayazit has received multiple international awards, including the RSC Reaction Chemistry & Engineering Emerging Investigator Award (2023), the COMSTECH Award for Excellence in Science and Technology (2022), and the TÜBİTAK International Outstanding Researcher Fellowship (2019). His work has also been recognized by the IChemE Global Research Project Awards (finalist, 2022) and the IChemE Business Start-up Award (2019).
